Traveled down Route 62 today, and it did not disappoint. It’s hard to keep your eyes on the road when all around you there are mountains, vineyards and quaint colonial towns. South Africa offers an incredible variety of terrain, though, and as we descended to the plains of Little Karoo, we quickly noticed how the green gave way to desert-like landscapes—still no less stunning. We were heading towards Oudtshoorn, otherwise known as the ostrich capital of the world.
